Every vehicle must pass stringent measures before it can become a Certified Pre-Owned Acura. Only well-maintained, late-model Acura vehicles are considered, and each one must pass a comprehensive 182-point inspection and a Vehicle History Report review. Virtually every mechanical system-from the engine to the door locks-is checked and serviced to meet precise specifications, and a thorough appearance inspection scrutinizes fit and finish-inside and out-to ensure that every vehicle upholds the luxury and sophistication of the Acura name. The Acura Dealership technicians also inspect all placements of the Vehicle Identification Number to ensure that the VIN plates match. In addition, the VIN is researched for open service campaigns.

182-Point Inspection Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles

Warranty Coverage:

Every Acura Certified Pre-Owned customer receives a 12 month/12,000 mile Limited Warranty plus a 7-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty.

  • Acura will repair or replace any part that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use.
  • All repairs or replacements under this warranty will be made free of charge with no deductible.
  • The repaired or replaced parts are covered until the Acura Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty expires.

Start of Coverage – 12 month/12,000 mile Limited Warranty:

For cars still within factory new vehicle warranty: Client will receive balance of new car warranty plus an additional 12/12 warranty.
For cars out of factory new vehicle warranty: Client would receive 12/12 warranty in effect when the car is first sold as a Certified vehicle.

Start of Coverage – 7-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty:

The 7-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Warranty starts from original date of new car warranty registration.

Extended Service Coverage:

The optional Acura Care Certified Additional Coverage provides the highest level of customer protection available. If interested, owners should inquire at the time of purchase, lease, or re-lease of the Certified Owned vehicle.

Eligible Vehicles: All Acura Certified Pre-Owned vehicles.

Highlights include:

  • Coverage up to 7-year/100,000 miles (from the original Acura New Vehicle Limited Warranty in-service date.)
  • Extends the same coverage provided in the Acura 12-month/12,000 mile limited warranty.
  • Acura Care Certified Additional Coverage is transferable.
  • Acura Care Certified Additional Coverage can ONLY be purchased from the dealership at the time the Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle is purchased or leased.
  • Continues Acura Customer Care Benefits after 12-month/12,000 mile limited warranty period.

Certified Commitment to Quality:

The certification process starts with a careful selection. Not all vehicles qualify. Only well-maintained late-model Acura vehicles are even considered. Each “candidate” must then pass a comprehensive 150-point inspection and a Vehicle History Report review to become a Certified Pre-Owned Acura. Virtually every mechanical system – from the engine to the door locks – is checked and serviced to meet stringent specifications. Roadside Assistance:

(During the 12-month/12,000-mile Limited Warranty period)

Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles are covered by an extensive Roadside Assistance program. Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

The Roadside Assistance program covers emergency fuel delivery, battery jump start, emergency lockout assistance, flat tire change (with good spare) and, if the vehicle is mechanically disabled, emergency towing to the nearest Acura dealership or qualified repair facility. (Emergency towing will be provided for covered component failure anytime during the 7-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Warranty period.) Service is on a “sign and drive” basis at no cost to you (up to $100 per disablement).

Urgent Message Relay:

In case of an emergency, we will communicate up to three urgent messages on your behalf.

Emergency Airline Ticketing Assistance:

If your Acura is disabled, we will assist you in determining available flights and specific airfares, as well as arranging in the delivery of airline tickets.

Special Emergency Service:

We can notify police of an emergency, assist in making travel arrangements that require special accommodations, or arrange for the delivery of emergency cash from Western Union (subject to your personal credit).

24-Hour Weather Information:

This information is available at any time should you need to find out about weather conditions anywhere in the United States.

Insurance Claims Assistance:

In the event of an accident, we can contact an insurance claims adjuster to aid in expediting your claim.

Auto Glass Replacement Referral:

If you need emergency replacement of auto glass, we will direct you to a nearby authorized replacement facility or arrange for on-site installation.

Shipment of Personal Replacement Items:

Acura Concierge Service can arrange for the emergency shipment of personal items, such as medications, eyeglasses or a passport.
